The Heritage Walk
A guided heritage walk through Jaipur's old city, organised by a mutual friend. Ananya was leading the tour. Rahul was supposed to be photographing it. Instead, he spent the entire walk asking her about every carved doorway and forgotten balcony.
The Haveli Restoration
Rahul hired Ananya's firm to restore his family's 200-year-old haveli. Three months of debates about lime plaster vs cement, colour palettes, and whose turn it was to bring chai. The haveli turned out beautiful. So did they.
The Pushkar Concert
Rahul's fusion ensemble performed at the Pushkar Music Festival. Ananya drove three hours through the desert to see it. After the show, they walked around Pushkar Lake at midnight. He played her a raga he'd composed — named after her.
The Palace Proposal
At dawn in the empty courtyard of Nahargarh Fort, overlooking the pink city waking up below. Rahul played a new composition on his tabla. When the last note faded, he asked. The city below them glowed golden, and Ananya said yes.
